Superhuman is an AI productivity suite built around four pieces: Mail (an email client), Docs (collaborative documents), Go (an AI assistant that works inside the other apps you use), and Grammarly (the writing assistant, now part of the suite). It's aimed at knowledge workers and teams who live in email and shared documents. Mail works with Gmail and Outlook.
The main idea is that the AI doesn't sit in a separate chat window waiting for you to prompt it. It shows up where you're already working, with context from the tools you've connected. Superhuman's headline claims are that you get through your inbox twice as fast and save about four hours a week. Those figures are the company's own numbers, so treat them as marketing claims.
How It Works
Connect your tools. You link Gmail or Outlook, Google Drive, Jira and other apps. Superhuman says it supports 800+ integrations in Docs.
Mail handles the inbox. It sorts incoming messages (a Split Inbox separates teammates, VIPs and tool notifications), pre-drafts replies in your voice, and reminds you to follow up when nobody answers.
Go works across apps. It's available as desktop apps (Windows and Mac), Chrome and Edge extensions, iOS and Android apps, and on the web. It gives inline writing suggestions and helps with meeting coordination. It also reads what's on your screen so you don't have to copy and paste context.
You stay in control. Go suggests things and you decide. Per the site, nothing happens without your approval.
Docs keeps work in one place. You write, track changes and build workflows in a collaborative doc that can pull data from your connected tools.
Key Features
Mail AI: Write with AI, Instant Reply, Auto Summarize, Auto Labels, Auto Archive and Auto Reminders on every Mail plan. Business and Enterprise add Auto Drafts, Ask AI and Voice and Tone Match.
Split Inbox: Automatically groups email by sender type (team, VIPs, tools like Google Docs, Notion or Asana) so the important stuff is easy to find.
Follow-up reminders and Snippets: Nudges you when a sent email gets no reply, plus reusable text blocks that teams can share.
Go: A proactive assistant that works across desktop, browser and mobile, rather than inside one app.
Agents and Agent Store: Specialist agents such as Email Assistant, Knowledge Checker, Daily Brief and Grammarly. You can also build custom agents without code, or pick ready-made ones for areas like sales, accounting and education.
Grammarly: Writing feedback that adapts to your tone, across emails, docs and other places you write.
Docs: Collaborative documents with tables, charts, forms, version history and AI templates, plus the ability to build workflows inside the doc.
Calendar and scheduling: Share availability, create events from email, see your day or week, with Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams support.
Team collaboration: Live shared views of emails (non-Superhuman users can comment too), team hubs and shared knowledge.
Use Cases
Clearing a busy inbox faster with auto-labels, summaries and pre-drafted replies.
Making sure sales or client follow-ups don't fall through the cracks, using reminders and CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive).
Keeping a team's docs, decisions and workflows in one shared space instead of scattered across separate knowledge bases.
Getting writing feedback on emails and docs in real time, in your own tone.
Setting up a daily brief or a custom agent that pulls updates from connected apps like Jira, GitHub or Figma.
Coordinating meetings and agendas straight from email threads.
Integrations
Superhuman lists Gmail, Outlook, Google Drive, Jira, Slack, Asana, Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, GitHub and Figma. It also lists Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and says it supports 800+ tools in total. Go is described as working across more than a million apps and websites. Business plans add data syncing from Jira, GitHub and Figma, and Mail has an MCP option on Business and Enterprise.

Pros & Cons
Pros
There's a real free tier, so you can try Go, Grammarly and Docs before paying.
The AI works inside your existing apps instead of forcing a new workflow.
Mail covers the basics well: Split Inbox, snippets, send later, undo send, offline support and keyboard shortcuts.
You approve what the AI does, so it won't act on its own.
Enterprise security options are solid (SSO, SCIM, audit logs, DLP, BYOK).
Cons
The best Mail features (Auto Drafts, Ask AI, Voice and Tone Match, CRM integrations) are on Business at $33/user/month, which is expensive for small teams.
Mail only supports Gmail and Outlook, so other email providers are out.
The suite has several products and plan names (Go + Agents, Mail, Docs, Suite), which makes it confusing to work out what you actually need.
The speed and time-saved numbers come from Superhuman and aren't independently verified.
